Why Ceraminc Dental impalnt?

Currently, most dental implants, whether they are root implants or artificial teeth, are primarily made from titanium metal, which is widely accepted as being able to integrate well with bones and is known for its durability.

However, in recent years, there have been studies on the impact of using metals in the body, not only concerning joint replacements but also various dental materials, including dental fillings, crown materials, and dental implants. Several studies have found that in some patients, when metal is introduced into the body, whether it’s in the form of joint replacements, dental implants, or even metal-based dental prosthetics, the body can react by producing increased levels of inflammatory mediators, leading to the development of certain previously nonexistent symptoms or conditions. These symptoms often subside when the metal is removed from the body.

Although there haven’t been numerous academic studies reporting these cases, some researchers and medical professionals believe that metals do have some definite effects on our bodies.

In the field of dental implants, efforts have been made to develop non-metallic implants that can integrate with bone tissue, gums, and other oral tissues without using metals in production. However, in the early stages of development, due to limited understanding of both the body and materials science, there hasn’t been anything to fully replace titanium.

Currently, research on human anatomy and materials science has made significant advancements, along with developments in nanotechnology for manufacturing materials and products at a microscopic scale with high precision. This has led to substantial progress in the development of non-metallic dental implants.

It’s widely accepted in the dental community that ceramic dental implants produced today are strong and integrate well with bone tissue, similar to titanium implants.

Moreover, they have a distinct advantage over titanium implants in that gum tissue can connect to ceramic but not to titanium.

This advantage makes ceramic dental implants more similar to natural teeth in terms of how gum tissue attaches to them, which helps prevent infections from reaching the bone and roots. Consequently, the chance of infections and complications is reduced with ceramic dental implants, making them a favorable option for many patients.
